The violence resulted in authorities making the unprecedented decision to bar away fans from entering the stadium for Legia's Europa Conference League fixtureagainst Aston Villa. With hundreds of travelling supporters left on the surrounding streets, there was the bizarre sight of one man attempting to take retribution against home fans goading him from within the ground.
