da jogodeouro: Liverpool continued their title challenge at Brentford on Saturday and took the lead in impressive fashion. Nunez, who has been criticised for his finishing this season, put the Reds 1-0 up in the first half with a great dink over goalkeeper Mark Flekken after a quick break. Nunez was played in by Diogo Jota who managed to beat Sergio Reguilon to the ball and head into his team-mate's path.

Nunez's goal was a bright spot in a tough game for Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp's side lost both Curtis Jones and Jota to injury in the first half which saw the Reds bring on Mohamed Salah as a substitute on his return from a muscle problem. Nunez then went off at half-time himself.
Yet a win for Liverpool will see Klopp's side extend their lead at the top of the table as they play before rivals Manchester City and Arsenal. Pep Guardiola's side take on Chelsea later on Saturday, while Arsenal are up against Burnley.
