With just over three weeks to go until the new Premier League season gets underway, football clubs are gearing up for action.
On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur faced Paris Saint-Germain in a pre-season friendly in Orlando.
It was a game that contained six goals, and Mauricio Pochettino’s side came out on top in a 4-2 triumph.
Christian Eriksen, Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane all got on the scoresheet, while Dele Alli also got some game time.
After the midfielder impressed last season by scoring 18 Premier League goals and scooping the PFA Young Player of the Year award, fans are expecting more from him.
At the young age of 21, Alli has cemented himself as a regular in the Spurs team, but the pressure will be on his shoulders in the upcoming campaign, particularly if the club do not strengthen the squad significantly.
As it stands, Spurs, who finished runners-up to Chelsea last season, have not brought in any new players as yet.
After Alli took to Twitter to express his joy in getting back out onto the pitch, the fans showered him with praise and their hopes for the upcoming season.
