As reported by Goal, new Arsenal boss Unai Emery has recently stated that he is hopeful that long-serving midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, will sign a new contract with the club.
The Welshman has been with the Gunners for a decade now, and has endured many ups and downs over the course of his ten seasons with the North London club. The highs have included three FA Cup final triumphs, with Ramsey bagging the winning goal in two of them.

Now, the 27-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, and could leave the club on a free transfer next summer. Considering that the No. 8 is valued at £40.5 million by Transfermarkt, losing him as a free agent would be a disaster for the Gunners.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that the club can convince Ramsey to stay, and that offering him the captaincy, as a reward for such lengthy service, will sway him towards signing new terms…
