Reus set to leave Dortmund this summerWants a move to Major League SoccerLA Galaxy step up talks for German(C)GettyImagesWHAT HAPPENED?
Reus announced his exit from Borussia Dortmund last month and it has been heavily reported that the 35-year-old forward could make the switch to the United States. St. Louis and former Dortmund keeper Roman Burki has claimed that Reus does indeed want a move to Major League Soccer this summer. He has been linked with MLS sides Charlotte, St. Louis CITY and now, LA Galaxy, who are being considered the favourites, as per journalist Cesar Luis Merlo.

Merlo has reported that Reus' agents met with LA Galaxy officials at Wembley Stadium after the German's final match ended with a heartbreaking loss for Die Schwarzgelben against Real Madrid in the Champions League final. After the meeting, LA Galaxy are now expected to step up efforts to sign the 35-year-old but will have to pay Charlotte some compensation due to MLS's player discovery rules.
USA Today Sports WHAT BURKI SAID
Speaking to ESPN, Burki said: "I talked to Marco Reus ahead of the Champions League game, I texted, we didn't talk about the move then because he was obviously focused on the game, but Major League Soccer has a very good chance of seeing him next year or the summer.
"I can't tell which team, I am still trying [to convince him] but at some point it's up to [sporting director] Lutz [Pfannenstiel] and [club owner] Carolyn [Kindle] to make a move."
WHAT NEXT FOR REUS?
The German will now decide on his future after the end of his final match in Black and Yellow. It's possible that if he does makes the switch to MLS, he may not be available immediately as the player may need a rest after a long European season.
